Ababi’s Cone 6 Glazes
FALLS CREEK SHINO ABABI.#6 Cone 6 FRIT 3134 40.00 Seger Weight% You can try it with any red clay. This recipe substitutes a recipe with lithium carbonate. SUPERCRAWL AVERAGE 4 Cone 6 Cryolite 15.00 Seger Weight% And SUPERCRAWL #6 Cone 6 1201 deg.C. – Nepheline Syenite 10.00 Seger Weight% Both recipes must be like “sour cream”. You better add CMC just before use, apply several times until the glaze crakles (i.e. before the firing). The CMC will help it to stay on the ware. As times passes you will learn how much or which of the two you prefare. I like #6 PLASTIC TOUCH Cone 6 1201 deg.C. – STRONTIUM CARBONATE 23.00 Seger Weight% ABABI’S CONCRETE FOR ^6 Cone 6 1201 deg.C. – Portland Cement 22.00 Seger Weight% A kind of silky clear mottled glaze ( the fluor in the cryolite has a mottling efect) While firing the fluor fumes are not healthy! Make as much as you need for one session. Looks different thin or thick! |
